Electrical resistance

The electrical resistance method of heat treatment is a quick and convenient approach to many of our clients heat treatment needs. Typically used  for PWHT  Pre-heats,  Bake-outs, line thaws, annealing, Localized refractory dry out and expansion/ heat alignments .

 

Combustion

The combustion method incorporates the use of our portable high velocity burners and is an efficient approach to supply high amounts of heat with precision control.  Typically used in refractory dry out and PWHT of large vessels, towers and reactors.

 

Induction

The induction method use a coil wrapped around the object to create an electromagnetic field that generates heat within the object. These systems provide quicker heating, faster setup and teardown, the safety of cool coils, efficient power consumption and narrowly focused heat.  

 

Refractory Dry Out

Manning’s Alberta has a proprietary burner that is specifically designed for refractory dry out. A refractory dry out will  gradually ramp the temperature of the material and pressurize the vessel to obtain temperature uniformity and to help carry away the moisture being released.

 

Equipment Rental and Repair 

  Manning’s rents heat treating equipment to companies requiring on-site services. Sometimes fabrication shops do not require the full services, but may require basic heat treatment on a timely basis.  Manning’s also repairs and reconditions any and all heat treatment equipment.
